Runway Specifications:
Length:
Paved Runway — 17/35 3,500 feet long, 42 feet wide, asphalt surface. Well-suited for general aviation singles, light twins, and most piston aircraft. The runway is regularly inspected and maintained to provide a reliable surface for all conditions.
Dirt Runway — 14/32 1,600 feet of groomed dirt surface, maintained for light aircraft and tailwheel operations. Check current conditions before using — contact us or check the Live Weather page for field conditions.
Orientation Runways 17/35 are aligned to take advantage of prevailing wind patterns in the Salome Valley, minimizing crosswind exposure and making operations more predictable year-round.

Safety First:
Runway safety is taken seriously at Western Sky Airpark. The field is maintained to general aviation standards with clear threshold and centerline markings. Pilots are encouraged to check NOTAMs prior to arrival and to contact us directly with any field condition questions. We'd rather hear from you before your flight than after.

The FBO Experience - Your Home Away From Home:
The FBO — A Real Stop, Not Just a Fuel Pump
Western Sky Airpark's pilot lounge is built for the kind of aviator who appreciates a clean, comfortable place to decompress, grab a bite, and connect with other pilots. It's not a commercial FBO — it's better. It's a community hub where residents and transient pilots are equally welcome.
What's On Field:
- Full restroom and shower facilities
- Fully equipped kitchen — bring your own food or grab something from the vending machines
- Vending machines stocked with drinks and snacks
- Pool table and flat screen TVs — perfect for a weather delay or a long cross-country break
- Comfortable lounge seating
- Wi-Fi available
Flying in with a group? Let us know in advance and we'll make sure the lounge is ready for you.

Fuel- Coming to Western Sky:
On-field avgas is part of the plan for Western Sky Airpark. We are actively working to bring competitively priced fuel directly to the field, eliminating the need to drive into town or divert to another airport for fuel.
Details on pricing, access, and availability will be communicated to residents and posted here as the program moves forward. If you'd like to be notified when fuel goes live, email us at info@westernskyairpark.com and we'll add you to the list.
Ready to Fly In?
Western Sky Airpark welcomes transient pilots. If you're planning a visit — whether to check out the community, stay at the RV resort, or just stretch your legs on a cross-country — give us a call or drop us an email. We'll make sure you have everything you need for a smooth arrival.
